Air-Britain was back to North Weald again on 19th and 20th June 2010, thanks to the kind hospitality of The Squadron. As usual, the Stansted Branch volunteers had been working for several days prior to the Fly-In to erect the boundary fences and to prepare the main exhibition area for the many trade stands. There was even a good showing of Air-Britain Council members who turned up on the Friday and grappled with the assembly of the main Air-Britain Sales stand.
Over £1000 was raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care and funds raised for various others including The deHavilland Heritage Centre, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust and North Weald Airfield Fire & Rescue Service.

Once again, Derek King and his Information Services team were on hand to make new contacts and answer a myriad of seemingly impossible questions. Air-Britain's own sales stand was soon doing brisk business with new editions of the U.K. Register and Business Jets International on sale.
We would like to express our thanks to all pilots attending in some tricky weather conditions and the resident operators on the airfield for their cooperation and support.
We were also delighted to see the Vampire T.11, WZ507 coming in during the day and, as the afternoon drew to a close, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster, PA474, made a low pass on its way home to Coningsby.

With a total arriving aircraft log of just under 100 aircraft over the two days and numerous movements from the North Weald residents, there was much to keep our visitors occupied and the organisers received many positive comments. We are very grateful to all those who worked hard to ensure he success of the Fly-In and to all the members and visitors who attended from as far afield as Seattle, Belgium, Ireland and Jersey. We look forward to seeing everyone back in 2011.
