All aircraft types, especially those from the vintage and classic eras are invited to join us for our Fly-In. Please note there is no flying display.

Our 38th annual event will be held on 17-18 June 2017. Every year we recognise some aviation anniversaries and this year we are marking the 80th anniversary of the formation of Piper Aircraft, one of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers. In 2017 three Piper aircraft are also reaching anniversaries in their of their first flights too. It is 80 years since the first flight of the J-3 Cub, which was known as the L-4 Grasshopper when used extensively in WW2 by the USAAF. It is 70 since since first flight of Piper's first post war designs the PA-16 Vagabond and it is 50 years since the first flight of the PA-28R Cherokee Arrow, which saw the introduction of retractable undercarriage on the Cherokee range.

We hope together as many Piper aircraft together to mark these milestones alongside a variety of both vintage, classic and modern aircraft at North Weald.

The Queens Birthday Flypast  will be passing south of North Weald around Midday on Saturday 17 June and be visible from the Fly-In. Please could  all pilots planning to join us on Saturday 17 June  ensure they read the related NOTAM (click here to read NOTAM).
